Spring has arrived in Maine, the sun is out, the gardens are blooming, and our innkeepers have been working hard to get the inns ready for a busy summer season. They are filling up fast so check our calendar for availability and book your stay as soon as possible.

Our innkeepers are not the only ones pulling out the stops, restaurants, boat crews, stores, and parks and recreation to name but a few have been busy getting our beautiful towns along the coast ready for our visitors.

In Kennebunkport, the Rugosa, a popular lobster tour has been put back in the water and is ready to educate and entertain you with tons of information about that Maine staple, the lobster. You can even get to hold one, if you really want to. This is just one of the many lobster tours or cruises available up and down the coast available all season.

Our wonderful restaurants are all also back from their winter rest and are ready to serve you. Lobster is, of course, always on the menu, but look out for seasonal offerings at the many farm to table restaurants that Maine has to offer. Primo in Rockland and Havana in Bar Harbor to name but two.

No trip to Maine would be complete without a little bit of shopping. The outlets at Kittery and Freeport are not to be missed but don’t forget our stores in our towns along the coast. Take a visit to Mainely Drizzle in Kennebunkport where you can sample delicious balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Or the Camden Deli for delicious sandwiches, soups and salads.

Find your next great antique bargain at Milling Around in Newcastle or get some terrific jams and jellies from Nervous Nellie’s on Deer Isle. The choices are endless.
