Meet The Innkeepers (Part 2)

We continue our innkeeper introductions with Michelle and Eric from Holbrook House in Bar Harbor, Amelia at The Waldo Emerson Inn in Kennebunk, Joan and Ed at The Granite Inn in Rockland, and Kristi and Matt from Saltair Inn in Bar Harbor.

Michelle and Eric have owned and operated Holbrook House for more than a decade. Michelle grew up spending her summers in Bar harbor and knew it was where she wanted to live.

After marrying Eric they bought Holbrook House and started the picture perfect life, running a bed and breakfast in the town they loved. Being able to open their home to the many wonderful guests that travel to Bar Harbor and Acadia from all over the world has only enhanced this wonderful couples lifestyle.

They love to cook for their guests and do all their own renovations and remodels. They share their private space with two pets, Pooka, a rescued Mookie, and the latest addition to the family, Gracie Ann, a young Pug who is keeping them fit and entertained.

Amelia at The Waldo Emerson Inn is a new addition to the Inns Along the Coast family but is no stranger to hospitality. Hailing from New Mexico, she brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles as Director of Catering at the Santa Fe Historic Hilton and as owner/operator of a Subway shop.

Amelia is a full time innkeeper and is ably assisted by her husband Ron who continues to work as Vice President of a New Hampshire hospitality company during the week. They have two children currently attending college so Amelia is able to devote herself to all of her guests.

Hailing from Rochester NY, Joan and Ed at the Granite Inn are both professional musicians and Joan is also a professional graphic designer.

They both have a background in service related industries and bought the inn in 2006. Ed is cook and gardener at the inn and Joan is responsible for the wonderful, elegant décor. They both enjoy and deliver high quality customer service.

Kristi and Matt moved to the Saltair Inn with their three children in 2006. They are very much outdoor people and love hiking, kayaking, golfing, and fishing in their spare time.

They also love to spend time in Acadia National Park with family and friends and love to tell their guests about it.
